About Us

The Ridge Trail is a multi-use (hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian) trail that follows along the ridge lines encircling the ridgelines of the Bay Area. Over 425 miles are open today and ready to explore. When complete, the full 550-mile trail will connect over 75 parks and open spaces. As a 501c3 nonprofit, the Council works in partnership with 50+ regional agencies, local governments, parks, open space districts, land trusts, stakeholders and volunteers to protect & maintain the trail.
