RECLAIM/ REPURPOSE /REVISE/RESTORE/REIMAGINE/REINVENT

I am self taught and VERY new to the world of ''making Art and creating jewelry''
I have spent my life amazed and in awe of the natural beauty that abounds in our everyday lives
especially since moving to the North Coast/Bay Area in the 1980''s
walking the coastline and seeing the ebb and flow of the ocean and it''s environ
and collecting treasures from the flotsam and jetsam

Recently I began ''making'' mixed media items for the pleasure of friends and family and found a joy and a pastime
most of my makings are abalone based from the broken bits and pieces I have found over the years

I will be donating 20% of my profits to both the Sunflower star lab (www.sunflowerstarlab.org] to reintroduce the starfish
and the NOYO center for Marine Science (www.noyocenter.org] to Help The Kelp who provide a home for much of the wildlife of the Pacific coast

Northern California abalone and the kelp forests they rely on as well as the ocean floor has been decimated by purple sea urchins
Sunflower star fish are a efficient predator of purple sea urchins
