About Us
Established in 2007 Sunrise Horse Rescue is a nonprofit rescue and sanctuary located in Napa County, California. We are dedicated to saving horses and rehabilitating vulnerable horses in need. Our sanctuary helps horses who have often been severely neglected, abandoned or abused. They receive veterinary care, feed, training, and love from gentle people who truly care about their well-being. We strive to raise the message that horses have value beyond being ridden. Sunrise programs are designed to connect horses with humans in the community, from scouts to senior citizens. For many horses, Sunrise provides them with a forever home. Children and adults in the community gain life-enhancing skills by assisting in the rehabilitation of these horses and providing them with the loving attention they so deserve.
